In short: A friendly and very well organized 'Flatish' half-marathon with real PB potential In full: A nice suprise this one. No big crowds or even bigger queues. The small entry / field obviously helps and I was made up with a PB - the course is what I would call flat although the info says 'undulating' ; there's the odd bump over a bridge but nothing severe and the signining / water stations / marshalling / overall organization was first class. In short: Unique and challenging ; friendly and excellently organised. In full: Maybe I just had a really good day or I'm getting carried away; but I'd say this has been my favourite running event ever. This having been 6 [ SIX] minutes slower than my pb. Its really well organised from parking , then the coach over to the start , baggage tent , cup of hot tea at end and always a friendly helpful reply to any queries ; and NO I don't work / help with the race or know anybody who does. The race / terrain / setting is just spectacular like a very wet desert and school cross-country [without hills] mingled into one. Then wading through waist high water seemed to perk the legs up a bit and a natter with all sorts of interesting folk - I've registered for next year already !!!!! Date of review: June 8, 2010
