In short: What a difference a year makes! In full: Wow, Freezing conditions but the comms before the race were excellent from Malcom and the tea.
This is my favourite half. The orgainsation is excellent and although the course is fast there are still challenging sections to push you. The Rugby Club is brilliant and the facilities (warm shower and bar) justify the entrance fee. People dont understand the costs associated with a race like this. Its great value especially compare to the Bupa races (£40 for 10k)
Third Year on the spin for me and will be back next year wihtout a doubt. Date of review: March 28, 2013

In short: Will be back next year In full: Love this race. It's soo well organised. Great atmosphere just no problems at all. Think I would prefer a bottle of water at 1 of the drink stations as I struggle with the cups don't agree about needing sports drinks tho. You shouldn't need them on a half. Only the massive races have this and they get sponsored for them.
Great atmosphere at the club after!

In short: 1st GNR In full: Good race and I was amazed by all the support that is on the course. People paying out of their own pocket for water, oranges, ice pops, jelly babbies etc..........
The bands were great aswell. Was wondering when the coast was finally coming into sight.
No chance of PB tho far too many people!
Great Atmosphere, Amazing Organisation.

In short: Good Race - Fairly Flat - Excellent Support In full: Really enjoyed this race Made better by the weather. Route was good and didnt mind the slow start as there was plenty of opportunity to catch up afterwards. Really Good Atmosphere had a good chat about other races with other runners after the race.
Criticism really was the water. Its too difficult to drink when running with a plastic cup. Get some bottles next year!

In short: Aching like mad today!! In full: Good Race that is very well organised. No potential for PB as there are one track sections were you get stuck behind slower runners and cant pass.
Think next year the organisers should consider making the start a bit further away from the hill so runners can get in postion before getting stuck behind people content on a slower pace. Also banning Ipods would be mint and i've got a few bruises to back that up.
Overall though really good run and really good route. I am going to start using it regularly in my training. Well done to the organisers!
