In short: Brilliant first outing!
In full: Despite being on the (very) hilly side of 'undulating this was a great race. Scenic, good organisation and friendly cheering marshalls. Enough slower runners so it wasn't lonely at the back! Can't wait for next year when we're supposed to get a bit more 'up close and personal' with the animals. Didn't see any this time, but maybe just not looking in the right direction? Overall highly recommended!

In short: Hot,hot, hot! But great run
In full: Narrow trails and uneven ground means your eyes have to be on the ground ahead so you miss out on a lot of stunning scenery. Great organisation, pleny of water stations, bands to give you a boost enroute - bongo drums were brilliant! Fantastic run although very hot, well worth the 3.45hr round trip. Hopefully be there next year. Congrats to all involved - and the runners for surviving the heat!

In short: Some teething problems but great run.
In full: Great route, more 'undualting' than expected but I managed to PB - woohoo!
Well placed (for the half) water stations with sport top water bottles (a big plus) iso drinks in cups and jelly babies.
Good marshalling and pockets of locals cheering you on.
A few teething problems which I'm sure will be ironed out next year. Hopefully I'll be there to find out!

In short: Great Run!
In full: Yes, the route marking could have been a lot better, but maybe this is how a trail run should be? (This was my first one so I don't know). But I enjoyed this run so much I'd forgive it anything! Only downside was the 3 hour drive home.....
