In short: Hot, Hilly, great crowds,
In full: First time running the Coventry Half and was surprised at how scenic the course was. Crowd support was really good - hoses near the end were much appreciated

Didnt find water an issue - there were bottles available at the race village and so felt 4 miles was ok.

The course was more challenging and more undulating than expected so not sure its a PB course but difficult to say after running it in the freak heat.

Over all a good race but as other reviewer have noted there are a couple of things that need to be sorted to make this race as good as it could be.

- Toilets - more needed!
- Distance markers - where was the marker at 12 miles...!! I had no idea how far we were from the finish from 11 miles onwards so held back. Count down markers - 800, 400, 200 are needed - the seconds count and knowing how far you've got to go lets you push!
- Goody bag - Tech T shirt good, Medal great but had 2 apples, one mouldy, 2 bag of space raiders - should be more runner focused (sports drink etc._

Def think I will be back to try again..hopefully it will be cooler next year!
