In short: Good run - bit annoyed about no race pack and few water stations In full: The Watford Half is a really nice run and all in all the marshals and staff are really welcoming. I was a bit annoyed that the Race HQ details were not changed on the website and I did not get my race pack in the post so pre-race was a bit stressful.
PLEASE have more water stations at the start and this race needs a medal - really important for me!!
In short: Well organised and very relaxed atmosphere In full: Was an enjoyable excursion and well marshalled. Only gripe is the golf towel we received.... surely you cannot go wrong with a medal thats what I head a few other saying as well!! Date of review: January 2, 2011
In short: Good race and well organised - cant say fairer than that! In full: Beddington Park 10k has got it right - medal, goodie bag and good organisation. Just proves that the recipe is easy providing you get the basics right - your peers have a lot to learn from this. Great job! Date of review: November 29, 2010
In short: Good all round but PLEASE GET A MEDAL FOR PEOPLE!! In full: The Stevenage Half was well organised and managed - real credit to all involved. Only slight gripe was to provide more signposts from the car parks - very confusing (I wouldn't have like to have been in a rush!). Also like the Newark Half it is a real shame not to receive a medal - a half marathon is a long distance and deserves a memento. Date of review: November 7, 2010
In short: Excellent and friendly race - although an "eco" race - got all the important things right In full: This was a really nice 10k, very friendly organisers, runners and marshalls. Great off road race but safe. Eco bit was a great effort - you can see that a small number of changes doesn't change the satisfaction levels and the medal and t-shirt will be worn with pride. Impressed that my name was printed on the shirt despite being a late entrant. And the hornets were a bit annoying but nothing you can do about this. Date of review: September 19, 2010
In short: Excellent race - crowd, organisation, medal and course In full: Absoulutely over the moon that Bristol has put on such a great race - the crow were fantastic and made it worthwhile driving from London for - great medal and t-shirt as well. Date of review: September 5, 2010
In short: Would do it again but more water and better directions for parking In full: This was a really enjoyable race - I hope I was not the only one who found it tough going. Could have done with more water - wasn't enough at the stations and probably needed water stations every two miles not every 3. Car parking - I understand that parking at the school would not be wise but perhaps starting in the area by the car park and finishing at Caldicott might be an option - but can see the pro's and con's (perhaps I just need to arrive earlier!!) In short: Good race - dissapointed by the 15m delay due to registration In full: Good race - nice medal and shirt. Would suggest numbers for next years race and running chips are sent in advance. It was crazy to have 2 people handing them out - normally 6-8 people do this alphatecially if you are not posting them. Aside from that could have done with one more water station at 3k & 7k. Nice venue and friendly atmosphere. Date of review: August 15, 2010
In short: Great race - no medal....! In full: Excellent race but very dissapointed that this is my first half marathon where there is no medal - surely a must? Well organised and well marshalled but boy was it hot!! Date of review: August 8, 2010
In short: Great organisation, fantastic medal and challenging run In full: Have to say that having done the Marlow 5 Miler (sponsored by Grant & Stone), my expectations were high and I was not dissapointed.
The hill at the start along with the incline at the end a particularly challenging but the medal and t-shirt were well worth it - we all know that the quality of the goodies is often the big driver in doing these things. Date of review: July 18, 2010
