In short: Enjoyable
In full: My 2nd Marathon in a week and part of 3in15Days.

A pretty good marathon to be fair, good crowds, decent course (apart from mile 18-22 - that diversion around the fish factory or whatever it was was hideous and vile).

Had hoped to be troubling the 3:20 bracket but poor organisation at the start prevented that. THere were a load of 4hour runners crammed right towards the front of the 3:15-4:00 coral, a few said to me "well you should have got here earlier then" as I tried to edge nearer the front. I felt that this was a pretty poor attitude to have to fellow runners.

Couldn't really see the need for an expo to be honest apart from the obvious ££££.

I said I'd race it again as it was enjoyable and there wasn't anything major to really grumble about but truth be told I can't see me choosing this over another race.

On to London.

In short: UNBELIEVABLE.......AGAIN.
In full: You just have to simply run this marathon. From marathon vets to newbies it is simply awe inspiring. The crowd and atmosphere is wonderful, especially if you play up to them. Racing it again next year as past of my planned 3 marathons in 3 weeks.

RUN THIS RACE PEOPLE.

In short: Course was long, boring and not what advertised.
In full: Finished in 01:33, 3 mins off PB and I'm sure that if it was as flat as advertised or the correct length then that time would have become a new PB. The long slow inclines were ridiculous given the fact that it is advertised as flat and quick. Running along a bypass is not enjoyable, no crowd access and soul destroying for some who were looking to enjoy the day out as opposed to race, and don't get me started on the goodie bag.....

In short: Fun
In full: Great day for it, slightly breezy at some points and the undulations can prove taxing. Major problems getting there at a tidy time, even though we had left plenty of time. Struggled to get a tidy spot pre race which left a slight scramble to get up to a tidy pace, ultimately leading to me finishing just over my PB.

The weather was superb on the whole and really helps make the even what it is. I found the markings for the 10-12 miles slightly strange. The terrain around the final turn can be hard going coming up towards the final push home.

Great Day though, thankfully my girlfriend had managed to park near the exit so we got away pretty sharpish.
