In short: Upper body strength required.
In full: Actually quite good fun, the obstacles really take it out of you. Good atmosphere, well organised and marshalled.

In short: Best run this year, so much fun.
In full: So much fun, beat the train, and knackered my trail shoes. Really good organisation (although the £4 parking was a bit of a cheek, but I suppose it goes to the good causes the Rotary Club Support). Rain seemed to add to the atmosphere, nice muddy bit in the middle.

In full: Well organised, good value, and great P.B. potential.

There were lots of volunteers who made this event run smoothly.

In short: Bit of a shame
In full: Thanks to all the people working at the event on the day, at the water stations, baggage and finish.

Shame about other aspects of the race, can't really add anything new to what has already been said.

In short: Just how a 10k race should be.
In full: Thanks St Albans Striders, a very well organised, friendly and well marshalled race.

Quite a hilly route, but despite this managed a p.b.

In short: Thank you Brighton
In full: Despite the heat I had a really good race (3:19:09) which is 0:09:30 off my P.B. and 0:25:36 off of my time from last year.

The race support was brilliant, and crowds very supportive (especially towards the finish).

The organisers have improved on last year.

I expect I will be back next year.

In short: Good race last year, this year it was even better.
In full: Did the Newham London run last year and thought it was a very well organised event, and it seems that the organisers have built on last years success.

The course was quite good, relatively fast (matched my 10k pb to the second) and it was interesting to see inside the Olympic village.

I will definitely be running the Newham London Run in 2012, especially as the Olympic park should be nearing completion.

In short: Very good race
In full: I was impressed by the organisation of this event, everything went smoothly, and it seemed to me that all the organisers had everything under control.

The course wasn't particularly scenic, I was under the impression that Bath was a prettier town than perhaps the route had chosen (although to see that a few more hills might be necessary). The crowds were supportive and there was somebody cheering most of the way round.

I was disappointed by the organisers insistence that no headphones were allowed, and forced myself to run without music for once (which I found was bearable). This is understandable considering the laps and overtaking slower runners on the second.

Definitely one to consider again for next spring.

In short: Glad I gave it another try
In full: So after the problems with the 2010 half marathon it looks like are on their way to being sorted out.

The course was a lot better (following something similar to part of last years marathon, which is handy for people training for the Brighton Marathon in April).

The start area was still a little disorganised, as it was squashed into the promenade area by the sea, better segregation of spectators and more toilets would have not gone amiss.

Also toilets somewhere on the course would have provided some runners with an opportunity for relief.

Organisation was on the whole good, however starting groups for the race were largely ignored.

With this race growing (I think I heard that they want to increase capacity to 12000 next year) some serious organisation of runners and facilities at the start still needs to be done.

Overall an enjoyable race, Brighton is always a nice place to go for a run/race. I will be back next year.

In short: Lots of fun
In full: No watch to check my pace on, no pb to contend with, everyone up for a laugh, lots of water, mud and fun.

Maybe it would have been a good idea to cover the cattle grids on the route.

Will be back next year.
