In short: Very well organised, excellent goody bag and nice support. In full: Fifth time of running and still enjoy it. As a local, this is a fixture in my annual running calendar and I would say that the organisation has got even better. The t-shirt and medal are fantastic and the bottle necks of last year had been organised away through a wider start. Lots of very good natured banter with other runners and nice local support. Would thoroughly recommend, despite the cheeky hills. Date of review: May 13, 2013

In short: Flat as a pancake and superb support. I'm still smiling! In full: After the disaster of the 2012 race, I wondered how this year's would go. Well, it was FANTASTIC! Great course (completely flat!), unbelievable support (I felt like a princess) and excellent organisation. Simon has certainly learned all the lessons from last year. The icing on the cake was that I did a PB and got in under 4 hours - hooray. Thanks to all the wonderful supporters and marshalls - you made it a day to remember. Oh yes, the weather was fine too!!! In short: Great race in beautiful surroundings! In full: The Dentdale 14 is a great race in magnificent surroundings. The organisation is excellent: from the friendly car parking officials, the stoic marshals smiling and cheering in the freezing rain to the scrumptious home made tea at the end. Although the weather was miserable, I cannot fault this race. Yes, the route is quite challenging, but it's definitely doable. It's the second time I've done it and I hope not the last. A massive thank you to all the organisers and marshals! Date of review: March 10, 2013

In short: Very well organised, nice goody bag, flat but dull route. In full: The Hilton made a great race HQ and it was all very well organised. Great having the pacers - the 1.58 pacer was very nice. Thank you! But the route was dull and doing two laps the same only made it duller. But thanks to all the organisers and marshalls who did a great job. It's not their fault that Blackpool is not the most beautiful place on the planet! Date of review: February 24, 2013

In short: Superb organisation, brilliant support and excellent route In full: Can hardly fault it! Great route, excellent organisation, the most brilliant support and to top it all a nice medal and a "proper" long sleeved running top. The marshalls and supporters really deserve a special mention. They were so friendly and supportive. I felt like an Olympic champion as everyone shouted out my name as I passed. The route is really good too - especially the start and finish through scenic Chester. The loo situation at the start (i.e. nowhere near enough of them - huge queues) is my only slight gripe. But that does feel a bit churlish as everything else was so fantastic. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Quite simply perfect! A hugely inspiratinal event. In full: Well, what can I say - excellent organisation, a stunning route, the friendliest marshalls, outstanding local support, glorious weather and to top it all, the inspirational Ten in Tenners. This is a truly wonderful event and I would recommend it to anyone. It was my first marathon and no denying that it's a challenging route, but the friendly marshalls and crowd all shouting encouragement and handing out refreshments got me round. The scenery is breathtaking and takes your mind off the pain in your legs. Top tip - write your name on your top, front and back, and you will feel like a celebrity. Even drivers were shouting out their support. Fantastic! Date of review: May 21, 2012

In short: A great half marathon and all for a good cause too! In full: This is my 4th Leeds Half - I really like it (being a local!). It's a great atmosphere, fabulous marshals, very well organised and lots of local support. Slightly challenging route (which I like) but the down hills make up for it. Only slight niggle this year is that there were a few bottlenecks where we had to walk/jog. Shame, I might have shaved a few nano-seconds off my time!!! Date of review: May 13, 2012

In short: One of the most beautiful races ever! In full: This was my first time for the Dentdale 14 and I was very pleasantly surprised. The organisation was superb, the scenery breathtaking and the home made tea at the end, served by very nice friendly ladies, was a lovely touch. There was great support from locals all the way round which helped over the "undulations"!! I'd thoroughly recommend this race to anybody, especially if you're used to city racing (as I am) when you have to queue for everything, especially the loos!!! Date of review: March 23, 2012
