In short: Worth doing in spite of the monsoon conditions
In full: Positives
Well done to all marshalls and spectators that supported during god awful conditions. I didn't see many bands (just two) but to be honest I can't really blame them.
Never been to be MK before - it was greener and more scenic than I thought it would be.
I parked in the park and ride at out Furzon Lake. It was really well organised and there were loads of shuttle buses - I didn't have to wait at all.

Negatives
I measure the course at 26.5 miles as well. I thought it was my garmin but feel better that it wasn't just me.
Space blankets are a real must, particularly in light of the torrential weather.
Hot drinks need to be available - the one I had was luke warm.
There does need to be a bigger finish. It was great finishing in the stadium but the finish line was woeful!

In short: An embarassment!
In full: I have never in my life had to queue to cross the finish line. It was an embarassment! This is the third time Birmingham have held this race and they should be able to get it right by now. They knew there would be 15000 runners - it should not have come as a surprise!
