In short: Not bad. In full: This was my first distance race over half marathon length since London marathon 1999 and as I intend to do a couple of full marathons this year I fought this race was a good start and I wasnt wrong the race was well marshaled with a lovely course with only one small gripe that is the mile markers wernt very accurate I was using endomondo the first mile came up to soon but the 20 mile finish line came up spot on so guess that may need looking at in future, for a low key event and paying £20 guess I cant really grumble. In short: Great race Great T-shirt In full: Did this race for the first time last year and was delighted by the friendly atmosphere so came back for a return run didnt get a PB but received a brilliant T-shirt bright yellow one plus a flashing arm bad for those dark wintery nights, great value for money and would recommend it for any runners who havent done this course which is down a old railway line. In short: Bring your wellies. In full: Despite the bad weather and surface water the course is very fast just missed out on a distance PB by 9 seconds cant fault the marshal's standing on the corners in the driving rain they certainly earned a hot cuppa, did noticed in the results that two runners were disqualified and i guess for using music players of some sort they were told and signs were around that this would happen if caught this is the first race that I have been in that this as happened. In short: A run in the forest. In full: Brilliant race along winding narrow New Forest lanes very undulating with a few steepish hills but if you go up you must come down them at some point the weather was kind as the rain held off for most of the runners, when you finished there was a cup of soup and roll waiting for you I will do this race again next year. Well done to the organizers for a job well done. Date of review: November 26, 2012

In short: Brilliant just Brilliant In full: wasn't expecting to get a PB but just did after a week of sneezing, coughing and feeling like s**t I managed not just beating last years time but beating my personal best for the distance even faster than Bristol 2 weeks ago which was a flatter course than this one. Feeling overwhelmed with joy. Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: Great race plenty chance of P.B In full: Brilliant race and a PB possibility, the start is a bit messy with two starts with two waves also the results service could had been better as results given on the Run Britain site only goes up to the 3000 finisher also gun times weren't given and when contacted reason given is that how the organizers wanted it. In short: A race for the local schools. In full: First time I have done this race and it seemed to well turned out by the local schools ie Abingdon and Radley with a few club runners and the rest made up of locals plus a Spanish contingent, the course was mainly off road running beside the Thames and cow-pack fields marshals were very friendly and pointed you in the right direction, whether I will do the race again next year well yes if there's nothing else local. One more thing didn't get a memento or medal. Date of review: September 20, 2012
