In short: Fledgling race that could be brilliant next year.
In full: The race has definite flaws which hopefully will be addressed next year. If they get it spot on next year, it will be a fantastic race.

Problems with parking and bag storage has been mentioned. It just took too long to get parked up and too long to collect the bags. Some points of the Thames path section were just too narrow at points, I was held up on a few occasions.

This route problem though doesn't seem that bad when you take into account how scenic it was. The atmosphere was great and the marshalls were excellent. The medal was top quality and the t-shirt was also a nice treat.

Had a fantastic massage after as well, which has made all the difference the day after!

In short: Like clockwork.
In full: Can't really fault this race today. Loads of parking, signposting everywhere, all in the lovely wee village of Swallowfield.

The course was, undulating for most of the first half of the race. Pretty flat for the rest. I dont remember traffic being an issue at all and the marshalls controlled this very well. They were all mostly enthusiastic also, most I remember giving words of encouragement.

The finish was great as our names were announced. Managed to get coffee and a huge wedge of cake also for £3.

I really enjoyed this race and hope to be back next year. Well done to all involved.

In short: A Great Scottish run.
In full: This was my first GSR and it didn't dissapoint. I'm from Glasgow origianlly, now living south of the border. So, to come back up and take part in this well organised race made me immensely proud to be Glaswegian. The atmosphere amongst the runners was great and the spectators all along the route were brilliant. Like everyone else has said, the pipers were a great touch and raised the hairs on the back of the neck with each passing mile. My favourite part of the race was Pollok park. I forgot how scenic the park was and in the glorious weather it was gorgeous. The only things I can be critical about seem trivial because it was a great day. But it would be nice to see some energy drinks on the course. Also with the money paid, give us a decent technical t-shirt not some heavy cotton thing that runs after its first wash. Loved it though, this is a must-do race!

In short: Well organised, looked after the runners in very sticky weather.
In full: This was my second, RAF Marham 10. Enjoyed it again in conjunction with the village fete. We were all very looked after in quite hot weather, with loads of water stops and sponges. They were very welcome on a day like this. On a perfect day this could be a very quick 10 mile. I would encourage anyone to take part in this race, for the oppurtunity to run round the airfield. Then through the lovely village of Marham.

In short: Very well organised, good race. I'll be back for 2010
In full: Had a good day, It's a nice wee run round Marham. Yes the airfield part of the run is not the most scenic, but there was good support around it from a few spectators and the air cadets at the water stations. Good day out for the family as well as it ties in with the village fete, so theres something to do for the family while you run. Hoping for a little less wind and rain for 2010.
