In short: A New Race that was just shouting out Come Enjoy! Oh Yes I enjoyed Start to Finish In full: This off road marathon had all that I look for in a Challenging but fun race, Starting in early morning mist creating an eerie spectacle with tanks showing through. With a great mix of gravel tracks, wide open sandy/mud flats, short sharp gravely hills and open gorse moorland mixed in with splash pools and river crossings mixed in what was there not to like :-) Date of review: December 12, 2016
In short: Exceeded expectation a fantastic race from Briefing to Finish on Village Green In full: Is it a race when you just have to stop to look in splendour at 360 degree views, then the fun signs, great refreshment stations, fantastic love station, great changes of running environment all the way round, oh yes it is as everyone stops to look. Hills!! one or two, it would not be a trail marathon without them, the final leg just rounds off a fantastic event on the Village green, down hill and a crowd to meet you. Top Job WSR Running Rural Oh Yes Date of review: July 3, 2015
In short: Where Do They Find The Hills !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In short: Do hills grow? or is it that I'm a year older? In full: This is a race if you want a challenge and was it!! A well set out route with just a hint of recovery areas yet another hill, the last hill being the killer. Thanks for a great race. Date of review: June 5, 2011
In short: Thought it would be tough! I thought right. Fantastic 1st 10K In full: I had been told that this would be a good challenge and being on my door-step I had to give it a go, for a 1st time racer I found it friendly, well organised and busy. The setting could not be better with many families enjoying the wider potential to look around the Park. The race was as it said "Run in The Wild" with Hills, Hills and yet more Hills a great cross section of terrain with several water crossings to keep you cooler.
All in all an excellent race.
Well Done Chard Road Runners and all the smiling Marshall's, a very big THANK YOU. Date of review: June 10, 2010
