In short: Enjoyable, uplifting, organised, potential for good times
In full: This event was overall very good and I'd definitely do it again. I've done it the past couple of years, and each time time the race route showed the gradual construction of the Olympic stadium progressing -- this year the route did not pass the stadium, which was a shame (especially it being the Olympic year). However, the organisation was seamless.

Everything went very well, except perhaps my own travel to the race! (Word of warning, there is more than one Westfield shopping center in London!! Oops).

Organisation was very good, free post-race massages available, free food + cups of tea on a cold morning, good goodie bag contents (though had hoped for post-run food, but instead received a Well-Woman drink... not sure what they're suggesting!).

In short: Midweek, not so many participants -- probably wouldn't do this again. But still worth entering if you're in the area...

In short: Fantastic place for running, though scenery is a bit drab in places
In full: Had a really good time during this race. Participated last year, and this year was certainly much better.

In terms of a road race, it's certainly up there, because the course is quite flat, some small slopes but nothing scary.

The organisation was very good. Cannot complain at all. Energy drinks were readily available at the start, as was water. There was a fun warm-up (though I tend to do my own thing during these). The water break during the race was at roughly 6k, which is good, and it's on a straight piece of road (Greenway), where there was some good, nice, motivating music. Throughout the race, and especially at its end there were many people supporting the runners. Really good overall and thoroughly recommend it.

Also, saw Sonia O'Sullivan in a pub before the race (not drinking mind you!), who then strolled up and clocked something like 39 minutes to finish 2nd (I think!).

The goodie bag afterwards was stuffed full of 3 or 4 energy foods, some energy drink, a medal, a t-shirt, lots of tin-foil to do your Sunday roast (right? ;)), hot drink sachet, deodorant and more stuff, which right now I can't remember.

Anyway, can't recommend this enough!

In short: Poor organisation was a bit of a downer on the good race
In full: Leaflet in welcome pack was pretty useless (no directions there, or course map), and the person on the helpline was quite patronising.

No porter loos was silly (they had only a few loos indoors to cater for everyone).

Race and people itself was good, definitely likely to do a PB on this course -- both these made up for lack of organisation.

I suggest they replace the most hopeless MC bloke ever -- he was overwhelmed at the number of people who were running (~2500) and kept repeating it over and over!

Definitely worth turning up if you fancy an easy road race to do a good time on.

In short: Really good all round -- see the sights of London, with many people cheering you on!
In full: All round I thought this was great. Only slight annoyance, though mostly my fault, was that since this was my first race I eagerly snapped up many free drinks while on the start line... only to have to go and use some toilets after about 1km!
