In short: Cold, but at least the rain stopped!
In full: First time for me on this race, and I was very impressed - the marshalls did an excellent job throughout, especially those having to hold up traffic from the various side roads. My only issue, as others have mentioned is the 8 and 9k markers being out, I did wonder what had happened to my pace when I hit the 8 sign!

In short: Great scenery, organisation and PB potential
In full: I entered this race as I was looking for a 10k this weekend to fit into my half marathon training schedule, and I'm glad I did.

It was the first race I'd done with pacers, given my previous best was 51:16 (on a cooler day at Dunsfold with a nasty headwind) I opted to stick with the 50 minute pacers. This was a good plan as they were a minute up pretty much all the way round. In the end I crossed the line with them with a chip time of 48:51, so I was very happy.

Otherwise the venue is lovely, the goody bag great - although I have to say it's the first I've ever seen with a toothbrush and toothpaste in (guess it's because of all the sweets they chucked in as well!) and a pretty decent medal to boot.

I think it's fair to say I'll do it again next year, hopefully it will be slightly cooler though!

In short: Great fun if you like a few challenging hills!
In full: Whilst I normally stick to 10K or more distances, I did the first Longleg 5k in 2010 and enjoyed it so decided to again this year.

It was definitely better starting the 5k a few minutes after the 10k this year, although this did mean that the leaders on the 5k caught the back of the 10k runners at the first uphill (or rather where it gets narrow). The one thing I learnt from this is don't try and overtake someone slower from you by running through a bush of nettles!

Asides from that the course was again suitably challenging or as AAT put it last year, "includes some cheeky inclines". I finished a good 5 minutes up on last year, and perhaps why I've written such a long review is that I finished 5th (and 3rd in category), which is something I've never got near in any other race I've done. So for that reason I've got to say it's a great race, haven't I :) ?

In short: Must be good as this is my third year doing one of the Bolt Runs
In full: I've done the 10k for the last two years, and decided this year to give the half a go. Lovely weather, very good conditions underfoot, and asides from the delayed start very well organised. The only slight downer, imo, is the extra 1km uphill on the 21k route.

In short: Hard going, but scenery and atmosphere makes up for it. Also crossed part of my old schools cross country route, which bought back some memories.

In short: Fairly easy inclines and nice scenery for the most part (except for the massive pylon), made for a PB
In full: Another nice AAT race, despite the cold start and the slightly damp grass around the start/finish the terrain was good throughout. The only slight issue would be the couple of areas where those on the second lap cross those finishing the first lap - it was a little bit too tight at times.

In short: Well organised, good atmosphere, although "cheeky" is not the adjective I'd have chosen to describe the hills!

In short: Nice mix of terrain apart from the dried rutted mud after the farm, and the single file bottlenecks around the 1-2k mark
