In short: Cracking race even in THAT rain!
In full: Even in terribleconditions, the rce was excellently organised, especially having to change the finish at the last minute. The support was awesome, it really keeps you going, especially through 6 - 9 miles where it is tough. My home race and one I will definately do again. Welldone!

In short: Great way to start the Easter weekend, some great views on a fast course
In full: First time at this one and really glad I did it as smashed my 10mile pb. Organisation was good and the marshalls were fantastic all the way round. Once out of the Business park the course went off in to the countryside which was lovely. There was a little confusion at the start meaning the 2 laps round the Bus park were done first, which I could see the quicker runners having an issue with but all in all it was handled well by the marshalls. A proper t-shirt was a memento. Will be back next year.

In short: testing run, well marshalled with a superb medal!
In full: REally enjoyed this run, first 3 miles around the top gear track to get you warmed up and ready for the undulations from 4 to 8 miles. Hill at mile 8 felt like mount everest though. Marshalling was fab, water stations with gels and jelly babies were frequent and superb medal to greet you at the end. 20miler next year? we'll see!

In short: A pleasant run but organisationon race day left a lot to be desired
In full: Said it was a 5 miler and although they said the course had been slightly altered due to the snow, it was still 5 miles. At the end my garmin said 4.51 and friends said 4.61! Judging by the 'quick' time for me I would suggest the course was wrong.
The organisation to the race was excellent however race day could have been better - marchalls didnt seem to know where the start was and I heard the winner was mis directed on the start of the second lap. Toilet facilities and hot drinks nearer the start/finish would have been appreciated. Course itself was fine, a mix of roads and grass with a few icy bits in places. So all in all I give it a
B-,could do better.

In short: Quick race, glad we found it in time!
In full: The race itself was fine, flat and fast - I gained a new pb so well chuffed with that. The course was simple but effective although you did have to keep an eye underfoot in places. Shame the organisation let it down. No race signs in the area made it difficult to find, no exact start and finish lines made you unsure when to start and stop the watch. 3 portable loos for everyone to use wasnt enough though I heard was an improvement on last year. Medal was nice touch. With a little more planning this run could do fab.

In short: OMG - That was a challenge
In full: Today was the first in a series of 20 for charity - and I can't beleive any of the other 19 will be as tricky. I didnt realise we had started until everyone was off - unless you were at the front the mass start was manic - was walking at one point. Then there were the hills that just kept on going! Second time round they were tough. Still I got round a few minutes slower than hoped and whilst it was cold, the scenery was fab! Maybe back next year.
