In short: An excellent well organised event on closed roads...
In full: An excellent well organised event on closed roads...

Congratulations to the organisers of this event. Everything run like clockwork in a lovely relaxed atmosphere

Loved the closed roads in the countryside.

An excellent event for beginners or those more experienced racers.

Marshalling was excellent too.

Nice medal along with water, fruit and chocky bars awaiting at the end.

Great fun with a great turn out from members of Ashford Tri Club.

In short: Second year, just as good...
In full: Second time and well organized event again.

Special thanks to everyone who helped organise this race, I couldnt help but think about the poor souls who had to pick up the thousands of plastic cups on the course, thank you everyone.

As some others pointed out, the goody bag que was a shame - small point but when have just finished it is nice to stretch out rather than stand in a que.

In short: Hills Hills Hills!
In full: Really good and well organized race.

As the other posts suggest very hilly but for me that makes it all the more fun.

Not a PB course but the local support is second to none so thanks to everyone who turned out to help make this a great event.

If there could be a criticism about this race it would be the finish. I went over the line at 1.49 and could not find any water anywhere; it would also have been nice to have received a goody bag with some sort of recovery bar drink/gel/bar.

I am sure that there are many companies who would be prepared to provide the contents of a goodie bag free of charge for what would be very direct advertising to almost 4000 finishers. Surely someone missing a trick here?

Having said all of that this was a brilliant race and I commend it to all.

Thanks to everyone who made this such a great day out.

In full: First time I have run the Deal half and they are certainly correct in saying it is undulating! I would maybe call it hilly, none are mountains but I think it is fair to say that there is almost no flat, it is either uphill or downhill. Not a PB event but a fantastic training event with a good crowd in nice setting. Recommend it to all abilities except maybe the newest of runners who may find the hills a little challenging... Thanks to all those who put in the hard work putting on this event and marshalling it on what was a chilly and windy day, it was much appreciated.
