In full: Second year for this race, and the new single lap course made this a pleasure. Much easier for supporters to stroll from the start into the town centre to cheer you on, and the back to the finish to encourage you over the finish line. Friendly atmosphere and stadium with ample loos means no queues, helps to ease pre-race nerves. Date of review: March 12, 2012

In full: Wonderful race, the most friendly 10K I have ever run! Lovely village green start, supported by a sunday service by the local church, very welcoming marshals, great atmosphere, lots of parking, lovely medal, and the magnificent Dame Kelly Homes, who had time and good grace for everyone! Will be part of my annual calendar. PS. Be ready for the last killer hill! Date of review: September 13, 2011

In full: A tough and gruelling race that will leave you feeling exhausted but euphoric. Going up the slopes is really hard work, but nothing prepares you for the awesome scary and exciting feeling of trying to stay upright coming down! Will be back next year, a great race. In short: Great race, very friendly, easy to park. Final loop very hard, would have prefered if that bit could have been accounted for at the beginning, but a good fast route. Well done to the organisers on the inaugural event. Date of review: March 29, 2011

In full: OK race, but the location is impossible if problems on the Jubile Line (happens often), and TFL seem to make no alternative provision. An exhausting 8 hours from leaving home in the morning to getting back home, and I live in East London! Too much really when you have run over 13 miles. Date of review: September 26, 2010
