In short: decent race, poor finish!
In full: Well organised start, decent run but failed to see most of the mile markers although i did enjoy the race. The problems started afterwards, ive never walked so far at the finish of a marathon before it took too long to get a drink, queues for tee shirts were far too long and the lack of information just made it worse. Then had to que again to get through a small gap to get to the meeting area, then go back on myself for a 2mile walk for the bus back, wasted money on a bus ticket as didnt see anyone show one to the driver (my bus then went on to break down!) so was not having much luck on the day! If the problems with the finish were sorted it would be a decent overall marathon.

In short: Decent race, but start/finish area needs a change.
In full: This was my third in a row at this event and i always enjoy it, but this year i felt the starting area was abit of a mess. With even more runners this year there should be starting pens. Also found the finish area bottlenecked when receiving my goody bag,but overall i really enjoyed this run and especally my massage at the end.

In short: Great race
In full: Great race, my third year in a row and i always enjoy it, although this year the start had moved and so was a bit of a mess but not a major problem. Tea and biscuits at the finish went down a treat! One thing i would like to raise is the medals i received in the previous 2 years both had the year 1981 on, but this years had 1982, dont know why!

In short: well organised, great medal/tee shirt, flat and massive PB potential.
In full: Enjoyed this my 4th marathon alot, and as its now my local marathon will hopefully be doing it every year. Very well organised, nice medal and tee shirt and enjoyed the refreshers bar (old school) at the finish.
I run part of the route regularly on training runs so knew how boring the cycle path run can be, but trust me it feels alot better running with another 999 runners so the route wasn't as bad as expected.
Overall a great race.
