In short: Just lie about your expected time to get a chance of a time In full: Once again disappointed by the amount of people that lie about the expected race time just to get an earlier start nearer the camera's. I made this mistake in Manchester too. I will be knocking at least 45 mins off my expected time next year. I mean people were walking after 1 mile who were in the first group. Apart from that gripe it was a good day out and would recommend it to anyone. Date of review: September 21, 2011

In short: predict a faster time than you expect In full: My first 10k event, well my first event at all actually but I really enjoyed it. My only gripe is I was was placed in the blue group as I stated my expected finish time was 50-60 mins. Problem is that a lot of people did the same when there was no way they would finish in that time, hell some were walking and panting after 500yard. this held me up massively! i still got a PB but i could have gone a whole lot faster had people had the decency to A. join the correct group or B get out of the way if you intend to walk.
