In short: moan moan moan In full: In response to Barster. you were there at the race, and so was I. Volunteering. You knew the conditions that the race operated in, as well as I. Sensitive recording equipment outside in TORRENTIAL rain for the best part of 3 hours may, occasionally, mean that results cannot be 100% verified, on the spot. Surely it is better to be 100% sure of results before awarding prizes.
Well done to all the marshals for coping with very difficult conditions and dealing with a lot of flack from motorists. I think all runners should marshal at some point and be on the other side of the "fence". They then may moan a bit less about things
In short: People need to keep their perspective!. In full: First time I've done this race. I am a back of the packer, but still found the same enthusiasm from marshals who had been out on the course for a long time ! Bless those children who stood out in freezing conditions on the water stations. They gave us a big cheer as we went past. Even though really near the back, the finish line was still up and there were still choccies to be had, as well as a t-shirt!.
I have to say that the people who slag this race off, don't go!. There's 100's of other people that had a perfectly nice time. Nice Work put on some great races across the country and without people like Cathy and Martin you wouldn't have any races around here, so pipe down. Date of review: April 20, 2013
In short: great race! In full: fantastic scenery just a shame you can't take more of it in, having to navigate what can only be described as total off road !. This race has such a great atmosphere and deserves more entrants - if you like off road running, dancing, beer and laughs then its the ideal race for you !. (p.s. i fell over and i still loved it) Date of review: May 30, 2010
