In short: Great first 10 miler
In full: This was my first 10 mile race I'm still a beginner so I was in the green wave with plenty of room at the back. My daughter was in white wave, she said it was congested and there were lots of "runners" who really had over estimated their capabilities. OH reported similar problems in the orange wave. Having said that we all enjoyed the day and all got PB's. Supporters were fantastic some really great kids around mile 7 or 8. We came over on the hovercraft which was a doddle so no traffic problems.
I agree about the water and powerade bottles - what a waste.

In short: Good place to dip your toe in the world of racing.
In full: First race for me so a bit special. Some undulating bits but fine if you are used to training in the area. Hot today with minimal shade (even in the woodland bits). Very friendly, lots of encouragement and no worries about being last (my biggest fear).
