In short: A scenic and well organised race In full: This is the first time I did this race, and it was a last minute decision and am so glad I ran this beautiful, scenic but challenging course. The atmosphere was famtastic especially the 2 guys as you turned the corner onto the grss for the finish. Having 2 x water stations was a good idea too. Definetley will be back next year. In short: A very enjoyable first Marathon for Lichfield In full: A very enjoyable first Marathon for Lichfield. Had fantastic organisation from marshalling, water points, sponge stations and for all those people that cheered you on. There was a downfall which was the starting area and having to either climb over bushes as there was only a narrow area with a few steps as people are rushing to get through to the start which could lead to people nearly fallng over and being trampled on. The other point is more of a personal one regarding water bottles maybe the tops could be taken off as at one point I could not take the cap off the bottle. All in all it was a fantastic experience and thouroughly enjoyed it with a fantastic time, will definately be back next year, Thankyou. Date of review: May 1, 2011

In short: A very enjoyable pretty and scenic run. In full: A very enjoyable pretty and scenic run. Well worth the run. Volunteers and Marshalls were excellent and kept you going with bottles of water, energy gels, jelly babies and chocolate. Very well organised and the goody bag was good too, worth doing the race just to get the hoody. Thanks to everyone making it an enjoyable day. Date of review: March 14, 2011
In short: Extremely hilly but well worth it In full: The first race of the year and there were more hills than I anticipated, although saying that 'what goes up must come down'. Normally I am only fit enough to do a 5 mile race at this time of year so am happy with the result that I achieved. Marshalls were great and very enthusiastic and the people giving out the water were very good too. On a personal point may be would have appreciated another water station and would just like to thank everyone for making an effort as it seemed extremely organised and friendly, so THANKYOU. In short: This course has PB potential and a must for first time runners In full: This course has PB potential and is a must for first time runners. Marshalls were exremely friendly and the timing clocks were an excellent idea.
Was very windy but this was expected being it on a Motor racing circuit Spectators were not too bad either just enough to encourage you around the course.
One slight problem were the T-shirts, so cannot really complain, would definetley do this race again. Date of review: March 16, 2010
In short: Excellent race In full: An excellent race, well worthwhile doing, very good for beginners and for a New Year PB. Organisation was excellent as a lot of the marshalls encouraged you along the way and the atmosphere was great. Date of review: February 2, 2009
In short: Marshalls were great, and plenty of water along with great encouragement. In full: I found this course very dull and boring as you are running a lot of the course on tarmac and a long stretch as well as you can see the runners for miles. Marshall were great along with their encouragement and plenty of water. I was glad I was only doing the half marathon as I do not think I would of been able to of done another lap especially when the weather was so warm. Date of review: June 4, 2007
