In short: Well-marshalled country course, good fun In full: Interesting and varied route, lots of ups & a few downs, but this year very boggy in places - kept my spirits up by thinking how lovely it must be in the spring (but not this Easter!). Good marshalling, very encouraging. A water station en route (although they said there wasn't in the info). Next year might do the West Wight Three Hills instead - too tired to do both this year, in the dreadful windy conditions. Nice memento bag. Date of review: April 9, 2013

In short: Lovely autumn colours, but a bit too much wading for a PB In full: Incredibly wet, rivers of water streaming down the road, vast puddles and floods of water to wade through (or queue to scramble by the hedge for those of us at the back). Lovely scenery and autumn colours took my mind off the steep hills. Excellent cheery marshalls supported us all the way round. Sufficient water stations. Great to have finish time texted afterwards. All in all, a lovely challenging race that I would be very happy to do again. Date of review: November 15, 2012
