In short: mis-labelled as multi-terrain yet nealry all on road, including a long stretch along a very busy main road with no pavement.
In full: I felt cheated by the route, as it didn't use any XC footpaths, as advertised, and the woods section was all over in a few minutes. It's basically a road race.

In short: Great challenging route but disliked the hill on the road we had to do twice. 'Small' Tshirt huge on a slim woman - as usual, my partner gets one for the gym!

In short: Challenging yet friendly with some great downhills as well as the ups. The marhsalls made you feel as if you were the winner!

In short: Horribly hot and some challenging hills but very enjoyable. Steve and Julie outdid even themselves in the flawless organization.

In full: What a contract from last year, when all I wanted to do at the end was crawl into a hole and die like a drowned rat! This year I wondered what they had done to hide the wind - truly magical! Great organization and
superb cakes.

In short: Please provide more biscuits next time - all I got was crumbs.
In full: I didn't enjoy as much as 2007. The water obstacles were just too extreme for a shorter person - had to swim through the last one - and it was hard to maintain any speed or rhythm.

In short: Good fun but very disapppointed not to run whole 16 miles.
In full: I too was disappointed not to run the 16 miles - the finish took me completely by surprise! Otherwise it was good fun and great running weather (not too warm - I mean that). Was delighted to receive a £20 voucher as 3rd female vet in spite of the small numbers. Otherwise I would have felt ripped off in view of the poor organization and Spartan facilities.

In short: One of the few real XC races with plenty of mud but no bottlenecks and a wonderful downhill final mile
