In short: what a great race, well supportive marshalls, plenty of water stations, very well organised and a great stadium finish, brilliant
In full: First time I've run a marathon that wasn't the FLM !! and I will definitely come back here again. Most supportive marshalls I've ever met with the possible exception of Brian Porters Freckleton classic. Very nice 2 lap route, about as flat as you can get, very well organised and I did love that stadium finish. Big thankyou to all the organisers , marshalls who without exception cheered and clapped you on, thanks guys and gals you did a magnificent job

In short: well organised undulating half, very enjoyable
In full: second time I've run this and enjoyed it again. Started a little nearer the front so didn't suffer from the slight overcrowding I got last year. Minor point would be a bit clearer signing /broadcasts how to make your way to the actual start but apart from that I think it went very well considering the number of runners. Plenty of water stations, all well organised , plenty of marshalls so all in all a good race. Would say the goody bag was a little sparse, a t-shirt, nice little medal and a twix ! ok there were isontonic drinks and water at the finish but thought a few little goodies in the bag for a race of this stature would have gone down well. Maybe I'm comparing it unfairly to the GNR or the FLM and it certainly won't stop me coming back next year. Thanks for all the hard work from the organisers and volunteers !

In short: my favourite off road race, fantastic scenary , organisation , and mega hill !!
In full: third time on the trot, very addictive. Nice twisting run through woods at start and a flat bit along the towpath before the infamous Trooper Lane, hardest hill not in a fell race. Great views from the top, loads of fun blasting down the descents, top organisation and really great supportive marshalls make this race special. Oh and don't forget the river crossing at the end. The first race in my diary each year, you must have a go at this one, the complete opposite of those boring flat races through industrial estates, it'll make your day...once you legs have recovered !!

In full: 4th time I've done this one, it just gets better. Really fast course, very encouraging and supportive marshalls all the way round, superbly organised at the start and the finish and one of the best if not the best sweatshirts around. Will wear mine with pride ! All this and perfect running weather, cold but not too cold, no wind, clear skies, what a great race
