In short: Fantastic but challenging race
In full: I really enjoyed this. Beautiful scenery and a challenging but fun off road course. Could be muddy in different conditions but the frost and sunshine were perfect. Lovely downhill stretch to the finish. Very well organised with lots of friendly marshals all the way round.

In short: Very enjoyable despite distance issue
In full: Great weather, atmosphere and support. Liked the fact that the small uphill was done early in the race. Shame about it being over long but the fact that I had thought I had fallen behind schedule spurred me on to a good time.

In short: Great marathon training run
In full: Not quite sure why this got such negative reviews- I really enjoyed it. Great marshalls and lovely weather. Perfect for marathon training - four flat laps. It could have done with more toilets though and a banana at the end would have been lovely

In short: Excellent race, but poor organisation
In full: The race itself was excellent. Great views, great organisation and great support. The course is hard, but that is part of the appeal. The excellent organisation was let down by the chaos at the end. We had to queue for 30 minutes to be given a T shirt, and then the 3.30 bus was full, meaning that after a lot of confusion we had to wait another hour and a half before we could return to the start and retrieve our cars.

In short: An improved course and a good atmosphere
In full: I thought that the course was an improvement, although it would be nicer to avoid the doubling back after Dukes Mound. The hill after was hard, but that is part of the fun. I didn't have any trouble with toilets. The queues were not too bad if you went to the public toilets rather than queueing for the portaloos.

In short: Excellent. The best race I've done in a long time.
In full: Despite what I had heard about last time, I found it well organised. The scenery couldn't be bettered in this part of the country, and the hills are hard but not impossible. A great day out.
