In full: A nice fast flatish 4 lap course with a few gentle gradients just to make it more interesting. Runners share the road with traffic for a few short sections . A great speed endurance workout which is great preparation for a fast marathon time. Thanks to the marshalls and volunteers at drink stations who did a great job.
Not being a club runner I enjoyed the low key feel of the event compared to the more popular mass events. For instance the use of the small clubhouse for changing and showering took me back to my school days. Though being a club dominated event it may put off some beginners. In full: The course is challenging if you don't like hills but nicely scenic and largely traffic free. The first half is a series of sharp up hills followed by 5 miles of fairly fast down hills. Popular with club runners too. Great organisation and good support at the finish from the crowd. Would recommend next year's race. Date of review: February 11, 2011
