In short: Scenic setting, challenging second half
In full: This was my second attempt at this event, the first time 2 years ago was my first ever race and I was looking forward to doing it again. It is nearly all off-road so is an ideal setting for a pleasant Sunday morning run. A beginner friendly event atmosphere wise but with 2 or 3 hills in the second 5K which can really take it out of tiring legs. I did manage a PB but wouldn't say the PB potential for this race was great due to the hill near the end but overall a great race in a lovely setting.

In short: Very enjoyable 1st 10k
In full: This was my first ever race of any distance so I have nothing to compare it with but I thoroughly enjoyed the event, got a quicker time than I thought I would and can't wait to do some more races so all in all a big success!
