In short: good effort for first attempt at organisation - not flat, but fun, nice atmosphere.
In full: This was the first attempt at the organisation of a half for Carmarthen and I have to say I have been to worse organised events that have been running for years! There were plenty of marshalls to start with, and they were generally enthusiatic.(Nice to see the local police getting involved with road crossings etc), they did peter out a bit towards the end, and once the runners were spread out in the last couple of miles the instructions were a bit sparse.
Great route though, challenging, but not so much that it should deter anyone and nice finish location in the town centre kept the atmosphere at the end going, with everyone sitting around outside the cafes and steps. Didn't run 13.1 miles, although I was assured the course was the correct length. Will definitely come back next year.

In short: Friendly family atmosphere-well organised
In full: A lovely day out on the Welsh coast, with a good variety of surfaces from tarmac paths, wooded trails and a killer stretch on the beach!Great organisation -liked the idea that rather than getting a so-so tshirt all runners were in with a chance to win a tidy prize in a draw instead.Great family location. Great introduction to off road running-friendly banter among all competitors before, during and after the race.Definitely be back next year.

In short: a hilly race in glorious scenery(at least if would be if it wasn't foggy/raining) friendly organisation, great stew after!
In full: Just back from this - was a great intro to smaller races away from the "Flat & Fast" big money jobs. Very good organisation, friendly competitors, and a great touch to get a lovely bowl of stew and cheese in the rugby club after, for the presentations. It is pretty hilly if you're used to the flat stuff, 2 good climbs, and then 3 miles of flat slog along a muddy gravel track, but the scenery, even in today's weather, and the great welcome more than make up for it. Would definitely recommend.
