In short: Anyone who pretends this is easy is full of BS, but its well worth doing! In full: This race is a bit different! The cut off makes a conservative start difficult, though most peole will make Leith Hill with a few minutes in the tank - it's just hard to convince yourself of that at the time!
The course is winding and within the constraints of size of the volunteer marshal team well marked and the support on the course superb.
I'm not sure what anyone can do about the stupidity of locals who not only remove, but actually move course markers - I'd despair of the UK, but apparently it happens in the US on the Classic 100 milers, which must bring a fair bit of cash in to the local economy.
Thank you Doctor Rob; I'll be back!

In short: It would be great even if it wasn't 2 miles from home! In full: What a day - soaked to the skin and it wasn't rain! Sunbathing at the prize giving!
This is very much our local race, so we take the scenery for granted, but the organization was fantastic.
I was with a mixed group from our village and everyone had a good time - including the ladies running their first race (they had put the training in though!). Date of review: October 4, 2011

In short: The best organised event I've ever seen & a great 50 for (tough!) first timers In full: This was my first ultra and the organisation and great pre-race communication made it non-intimidating to enter and a fantastic experience on the day. I would not deceive anyone - this is a challenging course! So if you were looking for the easiest race over the distance, this would not be it. But the scenery is great, the crowd was great and the support from the marshals was without fault! Date of review: August 17, 2011
