In short: Great race, friendly, well organised with beer & chocolate at the end
In full: It was great fun running most of this race, personally I wasn't too keen on the first or last 2 miles along the A24 but that is just me... at least that part was relatively flat.
Great, friendly marshals (makes a real difference at the top of a hill) with good communications before and after the race by email and the website with the organisers.

This is certainly one I would do again :)

In short: Wonderful scenery, superb organisation and great goody bag
In full: A great day out for all the family, free bouncy castle and climbing wall. 50% off Gore and Ronhill clothing, lovely food that was reasonably priced, wine tasting, beer tent, free goodness shakes.... Oh did I mention a run ? A beautiful 10k through pine trees, some hills (quite a few up and down bits) but nothing too horrible, put in to the mix friendly, encouraging marshals, well manned water stops and sunshine.

The registration was very smooth, no queues, fun warm up. Starting in waves was a good idea it kept congestion to a minimum.

I don't mind paying a bit more for a race if it is as well organised as this one and the t-shirt actually fits and is one I will wear ! It was also nice that the food and drink was not as expensive as some other events I have been to.

Overall I think it was the friendliness of the marshals that deserves a special mention, by the time I went round hundreds of people had been round before me yet they were still shouting words of encouragement, clapping, smiling and waving. It does make a real difference :)

In short: Beautiful scenery through bluebell woods, killer hill at the end
In full: This was a very well organised beautiful run. Undulating.... The first 3 km was uphill and then quite gentle until the last 200m... Great atmosphere, running through the woods was lovely, out of the direct sun for most of the run, wide trails and dry. The last 200 m is up quite a steep hill.... Hope to be back next year !

In short: Great organisation, wonderful scenery and fun !
In full: I ran the half marathon today and I'm really glad it hadn't been raining all week and the ground had dried out a bit... Still very muddy in places, but the views from the top make it all worth while :)

I look forward to doing this again next year.
