In short: Great Event!
In full: Very well organised, superb support out on course even in the small towns and villages and other random places where you least expect it. Feed stations very frequent, well stocked and race crew at the stations very supportive! Defo want to do it again!

In short: Perfect
In full: Was a very well organised event, very friendly helpful marshals, nice course with a good mixture of surfaces, not going to be a quick run but defiantly worth doing and a nice mug and T-shirt at the end, not sure if you were supposed to have both but the marshal said I could so good times. BBQ was a superb bonus – mega tasty! Great value event!

In short: Well organised event
In full: Nice rural event, not the event if you like running through big cities but if you like to run on quiet county lanes pretty much traffic free this is a good event for you, there were enough people with a wide range of abilities running so it never felt like you were running on your own, marshals very supportive and helpful. Bit of a traffic queue to the car parking but that is expected when 300 people turn up at once, marshals were on hand though sorting it all out and directing people.

The golf club was an ideal start and finish, good facilities there plus the decent clubhouse and well organised race HQ. Course is pretty flat although undulating would be the best term for it and a couple of welcome descents without the feeling of any hard climbs, definite PB territory.

Nice goody bag at the end; a decent t-shirt, a welcome drink, nibbles and sandwich. Very reasonable entry fee which is welcome as entry fees seem to be getting a bit crazy for some events. Lot of work must have gone into this as it went very well. Only minor gripe is the drink stations one at 5 mile and the next late into the 10mile as I remember, sun came out about 5-6 miles into the race and I was gasping, couldn’t take in any gels and felt the effects of dehydration but that’s my fault for not checking it all out beforehand, think ill carry a small drink next time I run. Definitely will be doing it again though.

In short: Good run but few glitches to be ironed out
In full: Pros
- Nice route in parts around Bourneville and through the park
- Excellent goodie bag with t-shirts etc and good medal
- Semi smooth operation after the event collecting goodie bag etc
- Good drink stations with bottles which are easier to drink than a cup
- Handy bag storage area
- Free massage at the end! Cant complain about that now!

Cons
-Not all the marshals knew what was going on, I asked for directions to the start and they didn't know
-Start was very confusing, the start area was rammed and I couldn't get into the right time slot so had to wait behind the barriers, wait till the right time came past and then jump in.
- Due to the confusing start I got stuck behind a lot of slower runners
-Bottle neck of runners after the start, this was very frustrating having to stop and wait after going over the chip line
-Parts of the course were far too narrow for the quantity of runners
- Not enough toilets, queues were huge for the toilets and the NIAs toilets by the bag check in were closed.
- Last 2-3 miles were uphill which was a killer but then again you want a challenge in life!
-I'm not really a person to buy photos after an event which is handy as the official photos were ridiculously expensive!
-Early start time knocked public transport options on the head! But then its good to have an early start and enjoy the rest of the day after the event.

Overall

Apart from a couple of organisational glitches I had a great day, ran a PB and had a handy goodie bag, I had a smile on my face and thanks to the free massage some freshish legs to go home with, as its local(ish) I will be back next year, I'm sure all the glitches will be ironed out by then!

In short: Nice challenging but friendly run in a great historic setting, nice brew after = good times.
In full: Well organised with friendly marshals, couldn’t hear the starting orders but think its pretty standard really, wait behind the line until everyone runs, then umm run…. was a great course and I felt a little bit privileged to be running in the landscaped park. Had a nice mixture of climbs, flats and descents and the varying terrain added to the fun. The finish line was a welcome sight but the hill it was on wasn’t…. The complementary cup of tea in the café after went down well. If its on again ill defiantly be there. Might be me being a tad fussy but a couple of bins after the drinks station would have helped and made me feel less guilty for dropping my cup on the ground. Oh anyone know if the results are online?
