In short: The Great north run, a Great atmosphere, Great fun, Great Crowds, and the Red Arrows, what more can you say. In full: My first time at the Great North Run, the crowds were amazing I have taken part in many other running events but I have never seen crowds line the whole route like they do on the Great North Run. Yes the dual carriage way section is not the most picturesque but if you are lucky enough to be on or near the bridge when the Red Arrows Fly over they more than make up for that section. I also have to say it was great to see the Red Arrows flying again. One of my highlights of the run is the high fives from all the children on route. It was great fun and would recommend it to all.
