In short: A great atmosphere was created by the race team and marshals ensuring enjoyment was at its peak!
In full: Wow what can I say, this was my eleventh marathon this year and the second time I had done this route so I knew what was ahead for the first ever official marathon at a Royal Park. However I totally underestimated the warmth and friendliness that was shown to everyone by the organisers and helpers on what is always a busy time processing registration which only took a matter of minutes.

My running buddy and I were very fortunate to be allowed entry to the race just two days before race day – which was again exceptional management and organisation and something that will not be repeated as we will both enter at the earliest opportunity if this event is held again, please!!!!!

The fuel stations were spaced out just perfect and to my amazement had Viper Squeezes (I think this brand is the most expensive) on them too – result!

At the finish you were welcomed by the race directors and supporters and awarded your great looking medal and goody bag.

As with everything there is always room for improvement and with improvements there is always a cost element, so here goes: The only toilets available were public toilets which were not really adequate for the public never mind the runners, a few portaloos would be good and worth a few extra pennies.

Great day, great organisation, great fun – can you put this event on again next year please? Jonny

In short: A hot day resulting in the organisers providing extra water, now that’s forward thinking. Great day, great race.
