In short: Looking for an easy marathon? Look elsewhere.
In full: Hats off to all the marshalls who stood for hours in the pouring rain this year. Its an extremely hilly marathon with the first half with more climb, however the second half has a much rougher and craggy terrain. Ideal for those looking for a challenge.

In short: a PB marathon course, flat with good terrain.
In full: Good Points -
Well organised
Great Value with technical t-shirt, bag and trophy
Nice touches like the commentry which you get to hear 4 times.
Well marshalled
Smooth paths/road for the majority of the course.

Bad Points -

The time display was a bit low, it could of done with being put on a taller stand (you get how faultless this race is)

In short: Relentless, Scenic, Beautiful. 2011 was a scorcher and i'm definetly doing it again
In full: If you want a challenge then this is the one for you! climbs and hills that are relentless, craggy rocks and terrain that is dangerous and exposed places that will burn you when it's scorching hot like it was this year. Completely different to a city marathon so dont expect a great marathon time, but do expect a challenge that you'll remember.
