In short: Very good race, well organised.
In full: Waking up knowing I was running in a ten mile race in Buntingford made me wonder (after to much to eat and drink over xmas) why I'd entered a race so close to Christmas. I went out steady on a very nice course which takes you through lanes and countryside. I was told about the hills on mile 3 etc so saved some energy for them but to be honest the hills arent as bad as you think. I ended up running a fast last mile beating my PB. The officials and locals were very supportive throughout. The race was very well organised and I really enjoyed it. After the race I realised why I'd entered a race so close to Christmas because I love running and this course is one I will be most definatly running again in 2012.

In short: A race where you have to keep your wits about you.
In full: I enjoyed this race whilst visiting Cornwall this year and will be entering again in 2012. Very hilly and very steep, so hard running up hill and fast running down and some real good flats too. It is a tough race but I can't wait to try and beat my Tywardreath Trotter 7 PB next year. The local support was excellent and the race was marshalled to perfection. Many thanks!

In short: Very quick pace race, PB potential.
In full: This is the first time I have run this event and it pretty much lived up to expectation. Would like to thank all the race staff who were dotted here and there giving their support to everyone running. The weather today was very windy in places which made it a tougher but it is a very flat course. I'll be back next year to beat my time. :-)

In short: My first HM and I can not fault it!
In full: From the off this race is perfectly organised and supported throughout. A wonderful atmosphere with amazing scenery to go with it. Yes there are some hills but this is a fast race as far as I am concerned with a few miles of flats through Fairlands Valley Parka and the Stevenage Show ground leading to a nice home straight. The race is mostly on the Stevenage cycle tracks with support from the locals. Would recommend this race to anyone planning to run their 1st HM, this was my 1st HM and I loved every minute of it!

In short: A very good well organised event.
In full: The race is multi terrain taking you from roads to woodlands etc. The support was great with a brass band playing. There are some hilly parts but not to bad. The medal at the end was very good indeed with thought placed behind it. A person dressed as a monkey handed out bananas at the end of the race :-/ and all I can say is I'll be back next year, thanks!

In short: A very challenging hilly race, not for the faint hearted!
In full: I ran this race in January 2011, this was the first race I have ever entered into. You may ask why the hell would you want to enter a 10 mile race as your first race!? Well, simple answer, I was over confident and neive! But!, never the less I ran the hilly route which takes you through lanes and country side. The support from marshals was excellent but I would suggest adding more water stations in 2012. (I will be running in 2012) The final few miles is all up hill which caught me out a bit and slowed me down but for my first ever race and a time of 1:22:06 I was pleased. Next year I'll be looking to blast the hills and beat my time. A nice medal recieved at the end and the feeling of real achievement! Overall a very good race.
