In short: A brave first attempt, it can only improve, and then will be outstanding
In full: Compared to large events that have been going for years (and I have done a fair few!) this first attempt at a marathon was very well done. Congratulations to the organisers, the marshals and the runners who braved the awful weather, certainly made it memorable.

In short: The challenge was worth it.
In full: A refreshing change from the normal clubby road race type of event. Friendly feel, good organisation and a fantastic course. Although I carried a map and instructions as advised I didn't need them as the course was well marked and there were plenty of people to follow. Overall a very enjoyable morning out.
