In short: Worth doing as part of training plan. Wouldn't have this run as a goal race. No chip timing, goody bag and disorganisation at finish line. In full: I was looking forward to this race as part of my training for a half marathon at the end of the month. Unfortunately I had a bit of a stinker. Couldn't maintain my usual pace and was feeling the heat/humidity too much (probably an excuse!)and finished 3.5 minutes over my target time. The organisation was friendly, but this disguises the fact that this is an expensive run for a jog. the start/finish was a bit of a mess, not hearing instructions and a queue for water at the end! Medal is good, but not a reason for racing. With all the space on offer at the top gear track more could be done for spectators.
