In short: Cold but as brilliant as ever
In full: Absolutely freezing....but as good as ever. Helpful wind pushing along the seafront at the end was very welcome.Best race in sussex bar none.

In short: Heat and Hills
In full: First go at a half, watched this as a spectator so many times but never appreciated until now how hard it is. Glorious weather (very hot), the new route up the hill to the kings head pub from winchelsea Road absolutely destroyed me. Fantastic support (bless my hometown)helped immensely though. I will be back next year.

In short: Mud & Xmas puds & mud & mince pies & mud - superb fun
In full: Having started this first year of running with a nice works event it seemed appropriate to end it with another event by the same organisers and what a treat. The course had to be shortened a bit because of the mud from the recent storms but who cares, 2 laps of glorious scenery, a short and nasty climb and a brilliantly absurd descent down a muddy hill the other side made this challenging but hugely enjoyable.

The organisation was very slick, the marshalls were encouraging and accurate in their directions and the value for money was brilliant when you consider a Xmas pud, an original medal, a mince pie and mulled wine were waiting for you at the end.

I can't wait for next years event - very uplifting! And muddy.

In short: Undulating, fairly pretty course, well organised.
In full: Well organised race - only complaint would be the men's toilet getting blocked - but I guess if it got really bad you could join the ladies queue ;) Nice course, definitely undulating, probably not a PB route but pretty. Marshals and spectators friendly and encouraging - nice event.

In short: Great race for first timers like me!
In full: New to running - this was a xmas present from the wife to get me out the door, never raced before but I thought the organisation was superb, the course was good with an 'interesting hill' at 7k and the marshals did a great job. All in all very welcoming for a new runner (and I broke the hour - yippee!)
