In short: Tough first past Marathon Distance, but worth the extra miles.
In full: I'd originally signed up for the 40 miles, but as usual life gets in the way of training and am I glad it did, I wouldn't have fancied running the last few miles in the dark!

The run was brilliant, made more so by the company I tagged along with, Cheers Rabbi. (or spoiled their boys day out as I was told!)

Small field as it's the first time it's been run, but hopefully this will grow as it's a beautiful place to run around and not too daunting for a newbie like me.

Cheers to the organisers for this one, maybe some sort of memento for finishing would have been nice, but I am a hoarder so I collect tat!

In short: Nice and Friendly event, more 'undulating' than I thought.
In full: Appeared to be a nice friendly event, pockets of support throughout the race that helps me keep my spirits up. More undulating than I expected during the first half, but welcome downhills for the second.

Nice stadium finish and being urged on to dip at the line for under 2 hours cheered me up.

PA system at the start meant you couldn't hear the countdown or the fact there were pacers so maybe next year have speakers for the slower runners at the bak, otherwise, I'd recommend this event.

In short: Wonderful race with stunning views around every corner. Definately not for the faint hearted.
In full: This is a stunning race, I personally underestimated the difficulty of the terrain, but my second from last place finish won't take away from what a great day I had.

From the clearly marked out course, motivating marshalls, and my fellow runners who all offered encouragement and various items of salty foods and salt tablets to attempt to relieve my cramps! I had a great day, although now I've done it, I'm not sure I'll be back next year.
