In short: Beautiful scenery, muddy tracks and good mix of climbs & downhills" Recommend!
In full: This is my kind of run. Almost completely off road and fantastic views. Muddy tracks and across fields made this my favourite trail yet. Felt like it went very quickly and the band playing at the start and finish really spurred me on. Cannot wait for the next one . The t-shirt and sticky toffee pudding at the end was a nice tough too. Top class!

In short: Hard race but great views and would do it again
In full: Tough climbs early on but a great downhill section at mile 4! Great attitude from runners and organisers, stewards etc and thanks to the lady who spurred me on in the final 200metres when my legs said no! Would do again and my dad loved the blacksticks blue cheese we got as a runners reward! Tough run but felt good afterwards.

In short: Great for all levels and goody bag at end worth it!
In full: I did this as a charity run and did a PB in it. It ran fast and flat and was good for all levels of runners. It seemed to be over in a flash. The scenery wasnt great but then again you cant expect that. Great support from spectators and well organised, though I didnt know where to go at the start but that was all solved quickly enough. Would do again and the t-shirt and goody bag was worth it in the end!

In short: Good atmosphere but not sure I would do it again
In full: This was my very first run and I enjoyed it. I had no idea what to expect and found it fairly competitive but I was not the last to finish! A few runners fell at the start due to the narrow running space but soon runners spread out but that could be an issue. The scenery is town and country and there is just one or two hills. Overall it was a good introduction and you got a mug at the end, though I would have preferred a t-shirt! Not sure if I would do it again.

In short: Best run ever and I doubt any trail can top those views!
In full: This was my second trail run and my only complaint is that I fear other trail runs will pale in comparison! The views are incredible and the cruise beforehand was a bit of a difference(though quite cold!). Well organised with the different sailings(walkers, non competitive runners & competitive runners). Would have liked to have water stations but the terrain made this virtually impossible. Great atmosphere and friendly marshalls and runners. Thanks to the man dressed as a fairy who stopped me falling and the gingerbread man for picking up my fallen belongings! I liked the way the commentator at the end read your number and name out as you came to the finish - a great motivator. Have booked straight on to the Spring Series and cannot wait! :-)

In short: A once in a lifetime run, hard work but the crowd really do get you through!
