In short: Fantastic race, great organisation, challenging but scenic course. In full: A big thank you to Blackwater Valley Runners and all the marshalls (especially the scary little ones!)for such a wonderful event. Will definitely be back next year.
In short: Well organised, friendly, scenic tough race that lives up to the well deserved reviews In full: My first time out beyond half-marathon distance and a little nervous because of the reports of the hills and heat. Decided to downgrade my target time of 2:05 and pleased to get round in 2:21. Race incredibly well organised, with plenty of water given out as bottles with caps, which helped greatly in the heat. The hills at the end are tough however it does make it that more satisfying when finishing. Next year will bring picnic and family to fully enjoy the brass band. Well done to everyone concerned. In short: Great race and fantastic organisation. Very friendly and supportive marshalls. In full: I would echo the previous comments about the excellent organisation and friendly marshalls. In particular the marshalls near Kew Bridge were very encouraging at a point when I needed some support! I was pleased that the distance was made up at the beginning of the race by going round the field twice. As a first timer I was dreading having to do that again at the finish therefore pleased that wasn't the case! Pint glass will get well used by the sponsor's products so a great memento... In short: Wonderful event, well organised, great community feel. In full: Beautiful run through the New Forest. The last section was more hilly and challenging than expected, particularly crossing the railway bridge in the last mile. Very well organised and friendly run raising money for a good cause.
