In short: A well organised race - marshals at every corner
In full: As usual a well organised race.

There were marshals even on some of the straights.

Very few rises and no hills make this a pb course - except for me!

Well thought out momento, something you will keep and not just throw into a drawer.

A definite for next year.

In short: Never in the field of racing has so many goodies been given to so many.
In full: As mentioned in earlier ratings it would have been better if the start of the race has been on a wider part of the course. However that would be nit-picking as I found it an excellent race.

Marshalls, doubling up at some points, made sure there was no chance of going wrong.

The goodie bag must have cost more than the entry fee! I assume some sponsorship chipped in.

Pb potential due to it being practically flat.

A definite for next year.

In short: Well organised race with marshals all the way round.
In full: Could have been hazardous crossing the roads, but marshals were at all crossings and the motorists seemed to be patient (I wish those at all races were as patient).

Mostly flat and therefore probably PB potential.

A definite for next year.

In short: A race over trails, sand, and tarmac. Excellent race
In full: The sand dunes were a struggle so keeps down any chance of a pb.

Excellent organisation with announcer keeping you informed and well marshalled all the way round.

Will be back next year.

In short: Flat(tish) will one or two rises.
In full: Could be a PB course on the right day.

For me today wasn't it as it was quite warm and sunny.

Well organised. On roads mainly, but there was little traffic and what there was semmed to have patient drivers.

Marshalled well round the course.

Recommended race.

In short: A fairly flat race, good for a pb.
In full: Overall a good race, made for pb as there are very few inclines and no hills.

Nice to have championchip so no rush to get over the line.

The only disadvantage is having to run along so many roads that were being used with a few drivers insisting on their right of way (but also many more patiently waiting for a gap)

In short: Nice run, 90% away from the roads.
In full: Well marshalled, so well in fact that there was a couple of marshals at points where there was not junction to go wrong :o)

Part of the race was a nice run along the river bank. Thankfully with a lot of shaded parts.

It looked like most people managed to park successfully.

From this one, I would recommend Chernobyl's 'series' of events.

In short: The lack of communication about this race spoilt it totally.
In full: It must have been at least month after the change of venue that this site was updated.

If you look at the current Runner's World magazine you will see it published at the wrong venue.

On this site the 10k is shown as 'Rosemere 10K Plus: 3K Fun Run, and if you click on the 3k run you will see '10:45am, Sunday 23 July 2006 Anderton Arms, Longsands Lane, Fulwood, Preston, PR2'

I had said previously that I would never do a run by this 'organiser' or his company, but thought I would make an exception for this charity run. Never again.

In short: You don't realise how hilly Preston is until you do this race.
In full: A few steep, but very short rises, through the park, with commensurate down hills, but otherwise quite flat.

Well organised (nice to find that one of the organisers visited the forum to answer questions [are listening SRH Promotions?])

The t-shirt given out is a bit pink on the front and hence it will be given away.

I'll be back next year.
