In short: Amazing Crowds
In full: The idea of giving your race number out at the Expo on the day prior to the race was my only issue, because of having to travel down and need a hotel, added to this parking near the Expo was expensive and hard sought.

Race day, yes the queue for the porta-loo's was horrid, but well marshalled. As for the race, it took my breath away how so many people turned out to support this marathon, the people of Brighton welcome and enjoyed the spectacle and should be given praise for their superb attitude. Loved every minute of my first marathon in this wonderful bright city.

In short: How races should be run
In full: From the outset because of the extremely cold temperatures the communication from the race organisers was absolutely fabulous.
The organisation of the race, the friendliness of the marshalls, support and the great goody bag/medal make this a must return for next year.

Faultless.

In short: Great Marshalls
In full: Really great marshalling on this 10k, every one was encouraging and keen to be assisting on the day...a real credit to Orpington Road Runners. Only real gripe is that you skirt massive fields on one part of the course which is a little repetitive. The hills and mud due to the rain killed any pb potential, but if you're looking for a well organised run with friendly marshals this is pretty good.

In short: First Half Marathon
In full: Really enjoyed making this my first half marathon, fast course, bland in terms of atmosphere with sporadic clusters of support at junctions, but a warm welcome back to the finish line. Great to see involvement of Scouts/Cubs/Brownies etc in water stops. Weather was gorgeous, great day thanks all who organised this

In short: Great First 10k
In full: Really enjoyed this my first opportunity to test myself at a 10k, raising money in doing so as well. The volunteer marshalls all deserve a big pat on the back for their encouragement, smiles and claps. Only negative was the price of the car park at the O2.
