In full: The marshalls and race organisers do a great job and help this marathon run so smoothly. Plenty of water stations but some energy drinks would have been appreciated. Highly recommend the sports massage at the end. A little disappointed at the end with the goody bag, some cake or food would have been a nice touch. Date of review: September 26, 2011

In full: Great scenery and a very friendly run. Was nice to get running within a few yards of the start. A big thank you to all the marshalls and drink station helpers - much appreciated by us all. Some comments on here ref lack of facilities - they obviously didn't read the race instructions!! plenty of toilets towards the start, didn't have any problems with parking, baggage drop off/pick up or facilities. Very happy with a new PB on a very tricky course. Not sure if I'll do it again but would still recommend it to others after a challenge. Date of review: September 27, 2010

In short: An enjoyable event, well marshalled and supported by locals with a PB for good measure In full: The chaotic start has already been commented on so I won't go into that. Apart from that I really enjoyed the run. Good support from marshalls and from the locals - thank you. I thought it was a decent medal but would've been nice to get some sort of goody bag at the end. We were lucky with the weather which is always a bonus and I'm very pleased with my new 1/2 marathon pb - bring on the 25th April. Date of review: March 22, 2010

In full: What a shame, I'd been looking forward to this run for a while but it certainly didn't live up to expectations. I wish I'd stayed in Portsmouth and done the half marathon there instead. I know the organisers can't be blamed for the weather but they can certainly be held accountable for the farse that was the start and finish of the race (oh and the bit in between)! The start was a joke, I know it happens at lots of events, runners start to far up the front so that you spend the first couple of miles swerving and avoiding people but this seemed to be worst than normal. The first couple of miles were hard work just avoiding other runners and negotiating the narrow streets. I only saw two mile markers (at 5 & 8 miles) which didn't exactly help with the pacing, I thought they were supposed to be every mile!! I'm just glad that I got across the finish line without having to wait. A goody bag of some description would've been a nice touch as well. Even the medal was smaller than last time! The baggage area was also a joke at the end, am just glad I found my bag in one piece and that nothing was missing from it. I really enjoyed it when I did it in 2007 but sorry, I wont be doing this run again.

In short: Great venue, great weather, great day - not so great hills! In full: Glad that the hills occurred in the first half of the race, wasn't on for a pb after 5km but after that things got better. Good support from supporters and marshalls alike. As family friendly a run as you could ask for. Cheeky little hill to finish made it interesting. Shall definately look to do it again next year. Date of review: March 23, 2009

In short: many thanks to the marshalls for braving the wind and rain, In full: considering the weather this turned out to be quite a pleasant run. slightly disappointed with the medal and how come by paying on line before the event did i have to pay more than someone paying on the day! i know it ensured that i had a place but doesn't seem much incentive to book early. Will be back next year for a crack at a PB. Date of review: December 4, 2007

In short: Another Pb and more than happy with everything that fleet had to offer. Many thanks to the stewards that kept everyone going when things got a little lonely out in the country side. In full: My second time at fleet and will definately be doing it again. Well organised and a nice rural course. Can get a little lonely out there in the countryside but was enough support to keep everyone going. Easy to get to and to park with plenty of facilities for everyone. Start a little crowded and not helped by runners clearly starting to far up the start but thats the same for every race. Only six weeks to go till FLM and a real confidence booster. Once again thankyou to everyone involved. Date of review: March 11, 2007
