In short: Another good year for Longridge
In full: This is the 3rd year of Longridge. Weather dull and cold but not a icy as previous years. Enjoyed the run - hills remain the same challenging.

In short: Weather not on our side, but run in worse - overall good run
In full: This is my first Salford 5 - I was well organised and people were friendly and helpful. The course was good - whats a run without a hill in it?! Marshalls were very good and very helpful - makes a big difference.

Goodies bags - excellent!

Worth putting on the list of Races for 2008.

In short: Change of route was helpful - good run
In full: I have done this race for the last few years. This year the weather was dull and cool, ideal for runners. The change of route meant that the hill out of the park was only done once, although some smaller hills were along the route. Marshalls were good and signage was helpful. Goody bag; just leaflets and carrier bag. T-shirt - good. One to do again.

In short: It was good to be involved in such a race
In full: Overall the race was well orgainsed and is a race I would want to do again.

The race description says flat. This course if not flat. The race is mainly inclines in and out of Leeds - Some bottle necks along the way. Water stations were good but set opposite each other which meant roads were narrowed making those continuing to run a little difficult. One of write ups prior to race stated that this was not a PB course.

Certainly a race for those who wanted to be involved in such an event for such a good cause.

In short: Well organised
In full: My 3rd year running this particular race. Always a good turn out and marshalls are good and encouraging as are the runners who have finished and encourage those still out. Found that those at the rear of the pack were left to negoiate the road back to the school, dodging spectators and those who have finished which seems a little unfair. Marshalls did their best, but its down to people being respectful to those still to finish.

In short: Another good turn out
In full: My 3rd year. Weather damp at start but it doesn't seem to hamper anyone's running.

Good atmosphere. Marshalls as always encouraging.

Lots of details for other races available.

In short: Two loops - not as bad as I had envisaged.
In full: The weather was good - the wind on the outset - 1-3 miles, and 7-10 miles was a little daunting and tiring. Thought it would be a little boring doing two loops - but it was broken down into 4 sections which made it quite good and varied. Spectators were few and far between and those who were were encouraging. Organisation seemed good. Off on time. Marshalled well - who again, were encouraging.

In short: Good overall race
In full: Weather was good. Start was a little disappointing and the "building site" start was a little unnerving. Ran this last year and enjoyed - so couldn't have been too bad to want to do it again. Some hills but nothing to phase even a beginner. Marshalls excellent - and water station along route. Soup and hotdogs at finish. A good start to new year.

In short: Excellent
In full: Run is 5miles of gradual inclines -with some flats inbetween, and from 5 miles is down hill.

The organisation is excellent and all are made welcome, irrespective of experience.

Marshalls are good and encouraging especially on the last hill at 4-5mile mark.

Plenty of refreshments before and after. Its worth doing
