In short: Worth doing for the experience if nothing else.. In full: Well, that amount of competitors really do need holding areas and an organised start, so why not use the park next door. Too many walkers too early in the race, holding up faster traffic. My Garmin made it virtually a quarter of a mile longer, so 40 metres per kilometre, which is possibly the zig-zagging to avoid the walkers and slower runners that started too far up the field. Not the best medal I've ever had, but probably the biggest event that I've done (doesn't compete with that from the Tewkesbury half-marathon), and seriously, were all those cheap tee-shirts really only available in a medium size? Apart from that.... Date of review: July 10, 2011

In short: Cakes? Not apparent, perhaps mine could be posted to No. 19....... Nice route, easy parking, cool medal, and a PB, so not a bad outing for a late entry... Date of review: May 8, 2011

In short: Quite a challenging 2k at the start of each lap, not helped by being spongy underfoot after overnight rain, but loved the bananas before and after the race. Date of review: March 13, 2011
