In short: QUICK! In full: Only negative I could say was walking the dog poo gauntlet from registration to the start. And paper disposable chips a bit flimsy. Otherwise impeccably organised race on quickest course I've ever run. Date of review: April 29, 2013

In short: Great route and a bit of a bargain. In full: Tea and cakes at the end were brilliant - I'd take this any day over a cotton t-shirt. Goody bag had crisps, sweets, and a race mug which will be used - clearly put together by runners for runners. A great route and a more intimate feel than most races due to the smaller field. Will definitely be back! Date of review: June 19, 2011

In short: Hilly, spectacular views, and brilliantly organised In full: The hills don't come as a suprise - you know when you sign up for it and the best scenery of any half in this part of the world. More water stations than you can shake a stick at with bottles. Just to note, virtually all runners seemed pretty experienced with a far higher percentage of club vests on show than at all other races I've done, so perhaps not the most beginner friendly (through no fault of its own). Great race and a positive bargain. Date of review: May 15, 2011

In short: A brilliantly organised, friendly intro to ultra running (if you so choose). A shorter version of the Thuder Run with a tougher course, and smaller more intimate atmosphere. Fantastic event. Date of review: March 21, 2011
