In short: A race with no results
In full: Anything positive about this event is outweighed by a complete lack of results, thats correct, no times, no positions......nothing!!
A week after the event 2:09 have failed to post any results initially blaming a chip issuing error and promised to rectify it 3 days ago. They have since gone quiet and failed to respond to any enquiries.....a complete waste of £35!!

In short: Brighton cheerful
In full: A few niggles...
Queue for loos at the start far too long
Start funnels didn't work with wrong coloured numbers allowed in faster starts.
Pacers not much use due to pen congestion
Water pouches instead of bottles a good idea but I found them hard to drink from
Shoreham loop at the toughest point was depressing, if it has to be used it should be when legs are fresh.
Apart from that it was brilliant...
Support from locals not just friends and family was great.
Nutition and water provision excellent
Baggage service faultless
Medal and T shirt top quality

In short: Overpriced, over rated.
In full: Course was nice but as a local I can run it for free any day as there where no road closures required.
Didn't like the idea of splitting men from the women, if you need waves maybe expected finish time would be better?
Momento for finishing a 16 mile race was a cheap mug which didn't even specify the distance so you got the same mug for 8 or 16 miles.
Paying £1 to have bags looked after spending nearly £30 to enter is outrageous.
'Free' lucozade at the drinks stations was nice but was half expecting to pay for drinks after paying for the bag store!
Overall the race was ok but paying nearly £30 for 2 bottles of lucozade, a cheap mug and a run along a public towpath seems expensive.

In short: Well run, good route and easy to get to
In full: Having done several energised sports events it was well run as expected. The venue has good parking and is on a bus route or just 10 mins walk from Kingston BR. The route is varied 50/50 mix of towpath and road with no busy roads to cross.

In short: Nice course shame about the weather!
In full: A very open course around the test track used on the BBC Top Gear programme which made it more interesting than your average airfield. The wind was a killer both on the bike and run legs but the actual course is very flat and fast. A very beginner friendly event with a good cross section of abilities.

In short: Lovely Bank Holiday run in the woods
In full: Nice run mainly off road friendly marshals and support. The whole thing was very informal as run by the school but went without a hitch. Weather was lovely as was the route around Claygate common.

In full: Nice course spoilt by slow runners setting off at the start of the field and then running 3 abreast down a narrow track whilst listening to ipods!!!
