In short: Brilliant Boxing Day 3.2M Bash! In full: Great race. Suitable for everyone from the super fast elite and club runners to the first time XC runners. Brilliant organisation coupled with a genuinely friendly family atmosphere. Good course. Nothing too challenging for a Boxing Day jaunt but enough to add some interest. Lots of mud this year (lovely). Liked the race numbers with names on them (added to the atmosphere). Loved the beer in the goodie bag (very welcome). The Blue and Red team idea was nice (again, this added to the atmosphere). Can't fault it. Great way to run off some the Christmas excesses (and a great way to kick off spring marathon training....). In short: Second time I have run this race and this is my current 10K PB course. Really great local event with a great mix of club runners and non club runners. A little gem, I will be back in 2013! Date of review: June 4, 2012
